Ingredients

  • 1cupraw cashews
  • 1cupboiling or very hot water
  • 1tspminced garlic
  • 3Tbsnutritional yeast
  • 1/4cupdiced tomato (optional)
  • 1/2tspminced jalapeño (optional)
  • 1/2tspchili powder
  • 1/2tspcumin
  • 1/4tsponion powder
  • 1/4tspsalt
  • 14 oz can Hatch diced green chiles

Directions

  1. Put the cashews in the pitcher of a high-speed blender, and cover with the water. Allow to stand for 20-30 minutes, or until the water is lukewarm.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients (except green chiles) and process at low speed until everything is blended, then start increasing the speed until you are at full speed; continue to blend until all the ingredients are fully incorporated and very smooth.
  3. Pour into your bowl or serving dish.
  4. Stir in green chiles. Enjoy!
